San Antonio Luxury Homes

The historical city of San Antonio and its natural wonders creates a perfect setting for a luxury home. Outdoor lovers can take advantage of the city throughout the year, with mostly sunny conditions and a gentle winter season. San Antonio luxury homes for sale are typically located in gated communities, but there are exceptions. Country club communities are available all around San Antonio and provide amenities such as first-rate golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts and a well-planned neighborhood with a friendly social scene. Waterfront homes are common with the gorgeous Guadalupe River nearby and a bounty of lakes within the walls of most gated communities. A variety of custom homes are available in these communities mostly following the southwestern style.

Animal lovers can enjoy the 35 acre San Antonio Zoo and Seaworld just southwest of the city. For the more adventurous wildlife observer there is the safari-style Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch on 400 acres of land where animals roam freely.

Aside from the wonderful natural features there is the historic aspect of San Antonio. Remember the Alamo? The complex displays historical items in 3 buildings: the Long Barrack Museum, the Gidt Museum and the Shrine. A world class art display can be seen at the Mcnay Art Museum including masterpieces from Picasso, Cezanne, Cassatt and O’Keefe. For a truly unique experience walk along the Paseo Del Rio, a convergence of the historic world with the present world. Right along the San Antonio River, the area is lined by palm, cypress and banana trees.

In a beautiful natural and historic setting, San Antonio luxury homes for sale offer just about any features you desire. The wonderful climate and rich history of San Antonio make it one of the most desirable locations in the country.
